Documenting the Present Landscape

Part of my artistic process includes documenting places where power manifests that are closest to me. Particularly in the past year I have documented the U.S. Southern Border from El Paso to the Gulf of Mexico and up to Houston (the ocean is also an international border). Texas is also the largest oil producer in the country, with the origin of the Colonial Pipeline that connects to the entire east coast. Power manifests itself through our militarized border and the infrastructure that connects our economy.

Film photography leaves archival material for future generations to view this period in time.
